"People often ask me how I got this shot. I was photographing a couple at the end of the 6 train in Pellam Bay Park in the Bronx when I heard a guy outside the train yell, 'Yo, this be a good shot!' Laughing, the guy stuck his arm in the window with the knife. I took the shot, flash went off, and the guy said, 'See ya!' That was it. Sometimes I tell tourists that he was the conductor."
